Thoughts, Wills and Values in Materialist and Spiritual Realms

A thought always perpetuates and oscillates within the mind of people, how the situation develops and culminates. The passage of life progresses on predetermined path yet the last leg of the journey which conspicuously and candidly reflects the synopsis of the journey. A sentimental attachment that embodied and leaves an imprint on the mind which reminds him continually of past and present events. A ray of hope becomes the source of satisfaction if situations converge into happiness and peace of mind. Otherwise, it leaves trails of agony and pain.
These memories of the past and its repercussions within the existence itself either be melancholy or cheerful if the story revolves around near and dear persons. It establishes a fact that people's expectations and hopes do not always translate into success and satisfaction. Alternatively, it relegates into a shame and agony thus causes immense pain. Exceptions are not rules, yet we have witnessed the outcome, where the undesirable events progressively turned into happy events and vice-versa.
It generally gives immense pleasure when someone commences the journey on a preconceived idea. Otherwise, he or she acts and reacts on their impulses about the past and present events. However, the transformation of thoughts which streamline to guide the masses will prove beneficial both subjectively and objectively. What conspires and transpires at this crucial juncture is a matter of interest and great concern. There is a silver lining in the dark clouds when people dwell upon their impulses and make inroads into their consciousness. As they progress on a predetermined path, they expect support from like-minded people.
The thoughts that ignites the inner feelings in the unconscious state travel into a different state of mind. It progresses through sub-conscious and finally emerges in conscious state. These values, which are the manifestation of a character outlines an image in the frame of a mind which subsequently gives birth to 'wills and values.' Either the picture gets distorted or shapes up and becomes a focal point of attraction. These deviations are very effective and reflect on a person's mood and behavior. However, these behavioral patterns affect directly and contextually on the subject.
The story quite often reveals realities, although it starts on a fictional note. The reality generally revolves around his or her own home, yet it touches the heart and mind of many families. The end result is the core concept of families where materialistic attachments become their goal to dwell upon. At the outset, it appears advantageous and satisfactory, but it has its own miseries beautifully camouflaged and becomes deceptive.
People did not observe or notice the signs until its deeply rooted effects show its unconquerable might. Thus, the perception rules the reality and leaves the recipients lure in a state of uncertainty. It is an established fact that perception is a reality, but not the whole truth. We as human beings must follow the righteous path to achieve a desired goal. It is necessary to understand that this materialistic world is a passage through which we have to reach our destination. This passage is not a piece of cake, it has many hurdles and detours. We must sensibly and judiciously explore the right path and should also become the beacon of light to others. This is the humility and the source of spiritual attainment of body and soul.
It is appropriate to pen down a stanza from Longfellow's "Psalm of life", and it goes like this.
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

The Law Of Attraction Secret

Many people try to use the Law of Attraction to build a life that is truly worthy of them. They become frustrated at their lack of progress simply because they have gotten the order of manifestation wrong. Don’t fall into the same trap. Learn that you must first Be what you want, then Do what you is necessary to achieve it, so that you can Have your desire.
One of the biggest problems people find when they try to use the Law of Attraction for the first time is resistance from the outside world. It seems that no matter what they do the world pushes against them. It appears that the harder they strive for their desires the more the world pushes back. They then fall into the trap of blaming the world for their woes or even blaming God. This is a disastrous mindset to have if you wish to successfully and consciously employ the Law of Attraction to your advantage.
Mahatma Ghandi, the great Indian leader who peacefully freed his country from British rule, told his followers, “become the change you want to see in the world.” These words are just as true today as they were when this wise man walked the planet. In order to have what you want you must be willing to do what is necessary to achieve it and this can only be achieved when you become the very thing you want!
Let me explain this in a little more detail.
The Law of Attraction can bring you anything and everything you want. In fact, anything you can hold in mind can be yours if you follow the rules of this Universal Law.
Trying to change other people or change the world is the wrong approach to achieving your dreams. You must change yourself. By holding in mind the things you want and believing that it is truly possible for you to have them you will immediately begin to attract them. However, if you wish to change the world or other people you are holding in mind the very things you do not want. You are affirming to yourself that things are not OK the way they are and that the people and environment around you is a certain way ‘ the way you don’t want it to be. The Law of Attraction immediately kicks in and you begin to attract more of those things.
By allowing the world and other people to be fine the way they are you will begin to embrace the moment and unleash your true power to create. You cannot change the world and you cannot change others but you can change yourself. This is where your true power lies. When you change yourself internally the world around you begins to change as you start to attract people, circumstances, situations and physical objects that reflect your changed beliefs, attitude, thoughts and feelings.
This is why it is important to hold on to an attitude of gratitude for the things you already have. You can even be grateful for where you are in life right now, no matter how bad it is, because this is the launching platform for your new improved life. Start from where you are. Wherever you are in life it is the right place for you right now. Just be satisfied to begin from where you are and you will soon get to where you want to go.
Once you have identified those things in life you wish to have, begin to think of them often. Imagine that you are already in possession of them. This is you becoming at one with your desire. Once you can hold your desire in mind and see, feel and accept that you are in possession of it you have become your future vision. This is Being your desire. Look at children they are excellent at this. It is a natural state of mind and not as hard to achieve as you may imagine. Just allow yourself to do it. Have fun and play with your internal vision. Enjoy it!
Be flexible enough to allow the Universe to deliver these things to you as it sees fit. However, some action is required! The Bible tells us that, “faith without works is dead”, James 2:14-26. Be prepared to take some steps towards your goal. No matter how small or insignificant these steps are take at least some action everyday that will bring you closer to your desires.
You will soon find that as you take even small steps towards your desires and stay true to your inner vision the Universe will rush to meet you. Coincidences will occur and you will find opportunities are presented to you. As long as you are generating positive emotions around your internal vision the action needed by you will be pleasure and feel natural.
So remember, Be what you desire, Then Do what you have to in order to bring you closer to those desires and then you will Have everything you want!https://populararticles.co/the-law-of-attraction-secret/

Wise Words

Using Your Body To Strengthen Your Mind

For thousands of years, physical disciplines like yoga, Tai Chi and Sufi Dancing have been said to increase mental and spiritual powers. If this is true, how might one explain this, and even better, how can we use this fact, practically, to enhance our lives as artists, business people, parents, and partners?
First, we have to strip away the mysticism from the activity. Not that these activities have no esoteric aspect, but rather that we have to approach them on the most down-to-earth level. The higher the tree, the deeper the roots. The taller the building, the deeper the foundations. If you want to soar, be certain that your tether is strong. So we need to start with a simple, physiological explanation (if possible!) and then suggest a way that this ties in to advanced artistic accomplishment, relationship skills, intellectual clarity, and spiritual growth.
My own enlightenment in this regard came from studying the work of Coach Scott Sonnon, the first American martial artist to train in the former Soviet Union. While there, this brilliant man met Russian sports and performance scientists who had been studying indigenous health system in the Ural Mountains for a century. There, they found movement and wellness concepts equivalent to anything in China or India. They shared many of these concepts with Sonnon, and invited him to share them in turn with Americans. Over the years, Coach Sonnon has created hundreds of books, videos and essays on his interpretations of this core knowledge.
Perhaps the single most important in terms of Body-Mind is what he calls the “Flow State Performance Spiral.” In order to relate this breakthrough thinking in such a short essay, we’ll have to condense considerably:
1) All physical technique is composed of three aspects: breathing, movement, and structure.
2) Each of these aspects is controlled by the other two (breath is created by movement and structure, etc.)
3) Stress “dis-integrates” this structure. In other words, when you are under stress, the physiological signs will manifest in your breathing rate or shallowness, your posture, your muscle tension. This is why lie detectors work!
Before he died, Hans Selye, the creator of the “stress” concept, said that he had misspoken himself, that it is not stress that hurts us, it is strain. Stress is the pressure we are under. But strain is the degree to which that stress warps us out of true.
Stress is not the enemy. In fact, when handled healthfully, it is the primary trigger for growth. So the key is to avoid strain.
Let’s skip around a bit to a truth about artistic and intellectual pursuits: your ability to utilize your intelligence, education, skills or talents will be in direct proportion to your ability to maintain “flow” under stress. Or to put it another way, in life, we are rewarded for how much stress we can handle without folding. Writer’s block, for instance, is nothing but a poor reaction to performance stress.
Combining these ideas, what we have is that mental and emotional balance under stress leads to excellence. Combine this with the fact that learning to cope with physical stress develops skills that are tremendously applicable to the mental arena. The most vulnerable portion of the “Flow State” triad (breath, movement, structure) is breathing. Proper breathing will be degraded by stress before you can detect it in posture or muscle tension. This is one of the reasons breath control is addressed in most religions and spiritual disciplines, whether this is through pranayama (yoga), exercise, hymns, ritual prayers, dance, or sacred postures.
A good yoga teacher, for instance, will place the student in a posture sufficiently extreme to force total concentration. When the student learns to relax and focus, that posture becomes relatively easy, and a more extreme posture is given. The point is to teach the student to monitor their own internal process. Fine martial arts or breathing meditation teachers use similar techniques.
The student learns to recognize the early signs of strain, and to dissipate them. NOTHING in life creates more stress than lack of oxygen, and learning to remain calm in the midst of oxygen debt will teach you to remain calm when the children are screaming, when your boss is on the rampage, when someone cuts you off on the freeway.
Or when you have a writing deadline, or when insecurity and fear hammers at the door of your resolve.
Deliberately practicing a physical discipline to enhance this quality of calmness and centeredness, while simultaneously working toward goals balanced in body, mind, and spirit, exposes you to the currents of life while helping you develop the skills and strategies necessary to excel. This, over time, leads to excellence, even in a purely mental arena.
There are numerous disciplines that will teach proper breathing under stress, and this article has listed a few. If you wish to reach your maximum potential as a mental, spiritual, and emotional being, seek one of these techniques out, and integrate it into your life. It is one of the best investments you could ever make in your future.https://populararticles.co/using-your-body-to-strengthen-your-mind/

Giving And Receiving

How many of us were told as children “It is better to Give than to Receive”? And many of us grew up believing and thinking that the virtue was always in the giving.
Yet the Universe always has a balance. If there is an up there is an equal and equivalent down. The left is balanced with the right. True North is the exact opposite of True South. Everything in the Universe has an equal and equivalent opposite. Yet it is true that some things are more preferable than their opposite. For instance, most people would much rather be happy than sad and most people would much prefer health over sickness.
Yet when one strives to live with an Attitude of Gratitude, the concept of giving and receiving take on new meaning. Being truly grateful for all of the gifts of an abundant Universe means being open to receiving. The true gifts of the Universe are very often not of a material nature but they are more of a more joyous and spiritual nature. The love of our families and friends, the beauty of nature, the joys we find in our work are some of the sweetest gifts we can receive and they are all far from being material items.
Even in our giving of gifts to others we can receive back the gifts of the Universe. Seeing someone else’s happiness when they open up the gift we chose especially for them is our gift to be grateful for. Watching the enjoyment of our families and friends as they partake in the holiday we prepared for them is a gift from the Universe to be grateful for. Enjoying the excitement as the children wait for Santa is a gift to be grateful for.
So Giving is a wonderful thing. Receiving is an equally wonderful thing. Be open to give and be open to receive. Giving and Receiving can be the perfect balance-which is also another gift from the Universe.
When you give of yourself, you can’t help but receive Joy back. That Joy is your gift.https://populararticles.co/giving-and-receiving/

Your Powerful Imagination

It is a common belief that the human brain is somehow empty at birth, and as the child begins to grow and receive stimulus, the neurons start making connections. Science is now discovering, however, that the reverse may be true. The infant is actually born with many more neuron connections than most adults have. It may be that learning does not happen by making neuron connections, but rather by “weeding out” those that are not used. If this is true, then we are all, literally, born with brilliant minds and we must “use it or lose it.”
In the first weeks of life, most babies will babble every possible sound imaginable. Yet, these children will later lose the ability to create sounds that are not a part of the language they have been trained to speak. Therefore, the child’s environment will play a tremendous role in brain development.
Scientists claim that in our society the average individual uses only 5 – 10% of the brain’s potential. Imagine what your life could be like if you were able to stimulate your mind into activating even a small portion of that unused potential!
Begin by asking yourself:
1. If I could have anything at all, what would it be?
2. What would I need to do to attain it?
3. What stops me from doing those things now?
4. How can I overcome those challenges to attain the life I desire?
These questions move us into the realms of imagination and positive thinking — the qualities that will allow you to awaken that other 90% and keep those neurons firing! Now you might say to yourself, “I already have a positive attitude,” or, perhaps “that positive stuff doesn’t work — all I need is willpower!” But the following demonstration proves that the imagination is far more powerful than willpower can ever be.
Okay, ready for the test? Gather all of your strength and “willpower.” Be sure NOT to do the following … here it comes … DON’T think of a red firetruck!!
What happened?
You automatically thought of a red firetruck, right? This is because when the “will” and the “imagination” are in conflict, the imagination always wins. Most people spend a great deal of time telling themselves what they DON’T want, instead of what they DO want. Even with every ounce of willpower they can muster, they somehow end up with more of the same old thing. That’s because the mind works in pictures, not words. Imagination is the secret ingredient of life. If people imagine themselves “rich,” regardless of the amount of money they have, chances are they will be healthy and strong and live an abundant life. If a rich man imagines himself poor or on the brink of losing his fortune, it is likely that trouble and sickness will plague him to the grave.
All that we are searching for in life is already present within ourselves. The sooner we come to believe in the power of our own imagination, the easier our lives will become. I challenge you to stretch your mind to the possibility of accomplishment beyond your present aspirations. What if, in an attempt to reach your goals, you awakened the powerful latent genius within? How would you feel if you found the cure for AIDS or cancer? Think of the people who would benefit from your achievement. The reality is that until everyone on the planet imagines a world of health and vitality for all, there will always be disease and woe. Take charge of your life now. Imagine your way to health and happiness and it will be so.https://populararticles.co/your-powerful-imagination/

The Power Of Affirmations

Affirmations are spoken statements that can be of a positive or negative nature. In the popular sense of the term they are spoken commands made purposefully in order to change some aspect of our life. In order to fully understand how affirmations work and the science behind their use we must first look at the way our minds work!
When we are born our brains are like empty computers waiting to be fed information. As we grow our peers act as our programmers, they supply us with the knowledge which we channel through the conscious mind into the subconscious (our hard drive). The subconscious mind is the biggest hard drive ever developed – it stores everything we come in contact with and by no means is all of this information of a positive nature.
All that we have heard, touched, smelt, tasted and seen are stored in the recesses of our minds. The subconscious mind holds on to this information until we need to recall it. For example when you were young your curiosity lead you to investigate your surroundings. When you approached a substance that was dangerous, such as fire, your parents or guardians would most likely have rebuked or scolded you if you ventured too near the flame. Perhaps you may even recall an incident when you were physically burned. Your subconscious mind then began to relate scolding (or pain) with the intense heat of the fire and would therefore feed the feelings of the scolding incident back to you whenever you got too close to fire again, thus acting as an early warning system.
This is the mechanism used by our brains to learn. It is also the same method employed by the mind in every situation. The subconscious mind has a tendency to emulate what it sees – it tends to replicate its environment. This is why so many people find themselves in similar relationships and situations that they saw their parents in while they were growing up. Most people also hold very strongly or similar views of their parents.
Think of a time when you gave yourself praise. What words did you use? Do you use the same words that your parents or peers used when they were praising you? The same is applicable when you scold yourself.
Watch your internal dialogue. Look at it closely. It takes diligence to change the way you think. When you notice yourself thinking a negative chose to think the opposite. This way you neutralise the negative thought. Now the think the positive thought again! You have just reversed the negative thinking in that moment and remember you only have this moment. No other time exists! You are in the NOW.
The whole point of affirmations is to convince the mind that what you are repeating is the truth. As you verbalize your desire you will find negative emotions and contrary statements entering your conscious awareness. You must deal with these negative thoughts as they arise in order for your affirmations to work! Many people use affirmations with EFT or the Sedona Method in order to eliminate the negativity that comes up as a result of affirming something that feels untrue.
During your normal day daydream about what might be. Imagine things the way you wish them to be. If you catch yourself thinking “this is just a daydream – a fantasy” then stop! Think the opposite. It is not a daydream it is your reality. Now think it again. Release the resistance as it arises in whatever ay you can.
If you just repeat affirmations with no feeling, or worse, feeling that it isn’t true, then you are actually affirming the opposite in your own mind! This is why some people find their situations actually getting worse when they work with affirmations. You must release the resistance by creating the feeling that the affirmation is true.
Bob Doyle goes into this approach indepth in his wealth beyond reason audio & video courses. I have found that affirmations will only work for me if I use EFT or the sedona method.
By creating the feeling of ‘having it now’ while repeating your affirmation you will begin to retrain your subconscious mind to think positively and you will ultimately begin to consciously create a life that dreams are made of!

Your MIND and Its SUPER-Powers Hidden Within

The human mind is an Infinite wonder.
It has the power to transmute your Inner desires into their physical counterparts once focused.
What the mind can conceive, You can achieve, just as long as you have the inner Belief and Will Power to back it.
For example, take the case of where cancer patients were given ‘Placebo Pills’.
These pills were just plain old pills that have absolutely NO healing capabilities what-so-ever.
So what, how did they get well?
The healing power came from their thoughts.
They were told that these pills contained the highest amounts of cancer-fighting ingredients which can effectively cure them in just a matter of months.
So the point here is, they naturally assumed in their mind that if they took this pill it would make them better and that their health will be restored.
Do you see how powerful your mind can be?
They simply registered it in their minds that these pills would cure them of their illnesses and in the process, the belief embedded within their subconscious mind became a reality.
This is just one example of the SUPER-Powers hidden within your mind.
So… now that I have your attention your probably asking yourself this question, “How can I use my mind to achieve my dreams?
Well, one of the most effective ways is to use the “as if” principle.
And what I mean by that is, act “as if” YOU are the person you want to be.
Act “as if” You are already possess whatever it is you have longed for.
Simply put, Think, Act and Feel like you’ve already accomplished what you have dreamed about all your life.
This principle is a very Powerful principle if you simply believe.
And you’ll be much closer to your goal if you’re constantly intact with your objective(s).
It’s okay to be obsessed with your dreams.
It doesn’t mean that if you want to be Superman you’ll be able to fly out of a window and into outer space.
That would be Crazy!
I’m simply saying, “Do what needs to be done”.
Take ACTION on your dreams.
Let your visions Encourage and Motivate you.
The problem with people in todays world is that they are too pre-occupied with Worries, Anxieties and Negative Emotions.
As a result of this, people are adversely affecting their state of health.
White lies unfortunately have become prevalent nowadays in order to ease the burdens or to persuade others to do things that they thought are unattainable.
A famous person once said, “Whenever you think you can or you can’t, you’re right!”
If you think you are poor, then you are; unless you properly condition your thoughts to a ‘Positive Mindset’.
I know it’s hard to think “Rich” if your environment is not conducive to such way of thinking.
Use your imagination and ‘Visualize’ in your head that your house is a mansion and your old car is a Porsche,…
Well, I think you get the picture.
There is absolutely NO limit to what the mind can achieve but You have to combine Belief, Will Power, and ACTION with positive thinking in order to achieve your inner desires.https://populararticles.co/your-mind-and-its-super-powers-hidden-within/

Make An Impact - Inspirational Video

Be Kind To Yourself And Others

indness is a generosity of spirit. It comes to life when we give of ourselves and our time to be of help to others, without expecting anything in return. When you show kindness to somebody you bring out the best in yourself, and a side-effect of brightening up somebody else’s day is to feel happier in the moment yourself.
Pay attention to the impact your behaviour has on others, and notice your own feelings in association to their reactions. And think about how you feel yourself when somebody else shows you kindness. What you give comes back to you in even greater quantity. When you are kind, you not only get an immediate payback in terms of a feel-good factor, you will also receive kindness from others, and in completely unexpected and unrelated ways.
It is so easy to find ways to be kind to others: say something supportive when you instinctively feel someone needs to hear it; offer help without being asked for it; smile encouragingly; swallow your criticisms; listen without judgement; let mistakes slide instead of assigning blame; make small sacrifices for the benefit of somebody in greater need.
A great rule of thumb I apply to my life is to do unto others as I’d have them do unto me, and, do unto myself as I’d do unto others. The latter part is just as important as the first. It is no good to be consistently kind to others and forget to be so to yourself. You will run out of steam, and feel less able to show kindness to others if you don’t replenish your own mind, body and spirit on a regular basis.
Being kind to yourself means getting your needs met, being gentle with yourself instead of critical when you feel you’re not performing at your best, forgiving yourself when the need arises instead of beating yourself up. When you get into the habit of treating yourself with kindness, it becomes much easier to extend that consideration and behaviour to others.https://populararticles.co/be-kind-to-yourself-and-others/

HAVE COURAGE, BE FEARLESS - Les Brown Motivational Speech

Moral Courage

Courage, what is it? Everyone wants it, but nobody seems to know for sure what the word means. To me, a definition of courage without a spiritual basis is useless. My guru was certainly the most courageous person I have ever known. He dedicated his entire life to his ideology and proved that he was ready to sacrifice his physical existence at any moment for that ideology. From my observations he seemed to be without fear. Furthermore, his writings provided insight into the very meaning of the word courage that was astounding. It seemed he considered fear to be a fundamental block to spiritual progress and warned seekers against “worshipping” their fate out of fear. “A man must be bold. He must boldly face all troubles, all reactions to past actions!” is but one small example of his take on the importance of moral courage.
Normally, we think of bravery as something involving confrontations with other people or at least some emergency that pops up suddenly and separates the “men from the boys”, but my guru used the concept in reference to facing day to day events large and small, in stark contrast to being subjugated by them. Why would we worship fate? For the same reason that primitive people worshipped volcanoes; fear.
I remember an old song with the line: “As we lick the boots of death out of fear….” Ultimately what do we fear? Death, pain and related unpleasantries, disease, poverty… So, I suppose the courageous are more willing to face these things than most. Are the courageous free from fear? Or are they just willing to undergo fear for the sake of some greater ideal? And what ideal might that be which could inspire them to face the ultimate loss, physical death? Something more substantial than our physical existence perhaps.
So, is risking one’s life for something proof of a belief in God? Not necessarily. During the depression folks were committing suicide because they lost their fortunes. They were Intentionally losing their lives, because they felt life was too painful without money. So people will probably risk their lives for the sake of money and a variety of other things which they value more than their own physical existence: money, romantic partners, friends, family. Not only that but we often hear of folks killing themselves not over loss, but out of aversion to something in their lives, or something soon to come: disfiguration, incapacity of some sort, public humiliation, painful disease. So, there are apparently lots of things that people fear more than death; lot’s of stuff folks don’t want to do, or have done to them to the point they will face almost certain death.
So, suffice it to say that courage is tough to nail down. It’s got to be something strong enough to help us to face things even worse than death!
Myself, I try to live by certain ideals. I believe there is a God, a benevolent entity that created this universe we live in, and one who maintains contact with his creation in a way that has profound importance to us. A way that invites us to participate in a practical process whereby we achieve personal joy and fulfillment on the one hand and the ability to provide great benefit to our fellows on the other hand. OK, so that is what I do. I am involved in this relationship with God project, and that largely dictates my daily activities.
Most of those activities are very pleasant, but if it were all that easy, we would be bumping into enlightened beings at every corner, and that is hardly the case in my neighborhood anyway. So, many of these activities (let’s call them ‘yoga’ in the larger sense of the word) require discipline… AND I would go so far as to say many of them require what I would call courage. So maybe we are talking about some sort of stuff that is variably referred to as discipline, will power, hutzpah, guts, courage etc etc. Where does discipline end and courage begin? Probably that is a moot point; just different amounts of the same stuff, though I suppose few are going to salute us and exclaim “that took guts” when we get out of bed and brush our teeth in the morning.
So, perhaps a working definition of courage might be action performed against resistance of some sort, and we might add the particular that some risk is present.
Now the “moral” part; maybe this will separate us from the suicides and folks facing danger to save their financial empires. This leaves us with facing danger for the sake of an ideology (some sort of higher belief system).
At this point, I would like to descend from the theoretical to the mundane quite suddenly. I’ve noticed in my life lately the presence of two distinct forces, both trying to get me to behave in a certain predictable pattern. Let’s call them the the “low road” and the “high road”. I’ve already mentioned that I try to live by a certain set of ideals. That would be the “high road”. The low road is an amalgam of crude but quite normal tendencies: hunger, lust, greed, pride, and these two roads are often if not always in conflict with one another. Both forces have a life of their own with rewards and punishments at their disposal, and treading either road therefore requires some sort of courage in order to make progress.
Let’s take a look at the “low road” for a moment. Maybe it’s not really all that “low”; let’s just call it the “normal life”, “unexamined life” or something like that. You get up in the morning, you eat, you make money, you reproduce your species, you fill up your free time with entertainment. As long as no-one interferes with these activities, life goes on comfortably, but if someone gets in the way, what happens then? Probably you want to annihilate him, no? In any case, a conflict occurs and you have to choose between fighting and walking away from the conflict. Probably neither of these two options is very inviting.
OK, now let’s look at the “high road.” How does it differ? There is an interesting Zen saying: “Before Zen, chopping wood and carrying water. After Zen, chopping wood and carrying water.” So, you still get up, you eat, you go to work, you get married, you fill up your free time, but now you do it for the sake of your ideology. Not as a means of accumulating stuff, but as a means of achieving a spiritual goal, getting enlightened.
OK, cool, but what happens now when someone tries to interfere? Now things get interesting. If you have spent most of your life in “low road” modality, your gut is going to tell you to waste the guy, but now there is this “high road” voice beckoning and so you stop and think. Do you just let the guy take your stuff now that you are all spiritual and everything? Maybe he even wants to kill you.
I spent some time in India over the years, and I noticed one peculiar thing: there are no Buddhists: lots of Hindus, lots of Muslims, lots of Sikhs, but no Buddhists. Now how can that be? Buddha was born in India and spent his entire life there. What happened to all the Buddhists? They were exterminated by various invading armies over the centuries. In some cases, they just lined up in an orderly fashion while they were beheaded one by one. Is that moral courage? Not if you think that Buddhism is good for the world.
OK, facing danger is courage, right? But what if a man is drunk? What if a guy gets blind drunk and starts a fight? Is that courage? No, of course not. What about drugs? No, that isn’t courage either, is it? Then what about anger? What if a man is in a blind rage and punches someone. Is that courage? I don’t think so. I’m not striking an idealistic pose here. This is science. I just don’t think it is of any value for us to consider an angry man courageous. The rage might serve to intimidate others, but it isn’t courage in my book. It’s no different from any other drug.
There is a well-known scripture in Hinduism called the Bhagavad Gita. It is particularly appropriate to a discussion on courage, because the entire book consists of a conversation between a warrior and God immediately before an enormous battle. A battle which actually took place about 3500 years ago in India. The conversation is initiated by the warrior, Arjuna, because he has decided that fighting this battle is not the right thing to do, and the rest of the book/conversation is about courage, ideology, the nature of God and the universe; stuff like that. Arjuna is without fear, without anger, and considers the obvious moral issue of warfare and after taking God’s counsel finally decides he should and must fight. He survives and guides the human civilization of that era on to a new and brighter era.
Now my life seems very small in comparison, but it is all I have to work with, and I reckon I might as well take it seriously anyway. Despite it’s size, it bares a striking resemblance to the life of Arjuna however, in that I have lost my taste for fighting over the table scraps of this worldly existence in favor of the pursuit of more spiritual pleasures if I may be so bold as to say that. I find myself wanting to walk away from “battles” that I used to routinely wage out of anger and the fear of embarrassment. I get some sort of slap in the face challenge, yet figure I really don’t need the contested item, and prepare to walk away from the conflict. For better or worse, it just doesn’t work like that. I get this feeling like I’m supposed to take some sort of action for the good of the equilibrium of the cosmos, but in that moment, I have a hard time figuring out where the heck I am going to come up with the strength to fight “the good fight” as we used to say in Aikido in my Japan days. I’ve gotta say though, that some magic often happens in these moments. It doesn’t come easily, but it comes and brings with it a new found peace and strength. Dare I call it courage?
Peace and Love to you all.

Famous People Talk About The Law Of Attraction - Motivational Video

5 Ways To Get Back On Track When You've Lost Your Way

Law Of Attraction Goals

Do you know how to take advantage of the Law of Attraction when setting your goals? Many people are unsure if they should be too specific when they set their goals, especially after watching films like “The Secret”. This documentary style movie states that you should allow the Universe to bring you your desires and not be too hung-up on the ‘how-tos’ or ‘from-wheres’. “The Universe knows the best way” is its ethos. So how does goal-setting fit into the attraction process?
Let me explain.
Anyone who has studied the tried-and-tested approach to goal setting knows that you should include specific details; in fact they know that you should be as specific as possible. These specifics include completion date, plan for achievement or stepping-stone goals and highly specific details of the goal itself. For example, you may set a goal to have an increase in turn-over of $10,000 by the end of the quarter. You immediately devise a plan to increase sales and being to build your goal-steps setting smaller goals that will lead to the attainment of your desired outcome. So how does this fit into “The Universe knows the best way” approach offered by most law of attraction experts?
Well it’s really very simple. The Law of Attraction is always responding to your personal vibration. Your vibration is affected by what you think and how you feel. So if you get specific in your goal and even set time-limits for specific tasks then the Law of Attraction is responding to those thoughts and the feelings associated with them. By staying focused on your desired outcome and feeling positive about its completion and attainment you are super-charging your Law of Attraction actions. As long as you don’t feel negative about your goal, or the plan you have devised, goal-setting like this can be very powerful.
However, if you set your aims too high, or make your goals unrealistic, then the Law of Attraction will work against you! You feel overwhelmed, doubtful and stressed. The Law will respond to this and your attraction vibration will be the opposite of what you want. By over-stretching yourself you will get negative thoughts and feelings about your goal. But by setting realistic goals, that do still stretch you, you can fully utilize the Law of Attraction to your advantage.
One key element of the Law of Attraction is that you always get more of what you focus on. Placing your attention on certain things consistently makes them grow and expand. So, by setting goals and working a plan to achieve it you are actually focusing your energy, thoughts and emotions towards that of the desired objective. By having set time-limits for the achievement of each step of your goal and the goal itself your thoughts, energy and feelings are also focused in that direction. Thus you are following one of the fundamental rules of the Law of Attraction – what you put our attention on expands.
The key is to always remain focused on the goal itself and not on the lack of it! You must also ensure you do not get frustrated if it appears that you may not reach your goal in the time-limit you specified. These are draw-backs of goal-setting as far as the Law of Attraction is concerned. However, they can be over-come.
Set realistic easily managed goals at first. Once you become proficient at goal-achievement you can start to stretch yourself a little more each time. As you begin to see overwhelming evidence that the Law of Attraction exists and that it is working in your favour you will be able to set you goals higher and bigger until there is nothing you cannot achieve.
Just always be aware that while you are pursuing your goal every positive thought and feeling you have about it is attracting more things to you that will help you achieve it!https://populararticles.co/law-of-attraction-goals/
